The Suntech ST20U is an expandable module compatible with CANBUS J1939/J1708/ISO15765 (OBDII) protocols, designed to provide accurate and detailed data on vehicle performance and management. This device allows you to obtain key information about the vehicle, such as odometer reading, total fuel used, speed, idle fuel used, coolant temperature, oil pressure, engine RPM, DTC codes, total idle time, and fuel efficiency.
Installation of the ST20U is straightforward, but it is recommended to follow the safety instructions provided by the manufacturer. It is important to ensure that the vehicle is turned off and the ignition switch is in the off position, not in the accessory position. Additionally, care should be taken not to cut the wires connecting the module to the vehicle's engine, as this can affect the performance and accuracy of the collected data.
The ST20U is compatible with J1939 (250/500 kbps) / J1708 heavy-duty vehicle protocols, as well as the ISO15765 CANBUS protocol for light vehicles. It has a 5V power supply (from ST3300/ST4300) and consumes minimal power in both active and sleep modes. With a temperature range of -45°C to +85°C, the ST20U is capable of operating in a wide variety of environmental conditions.
