To check whether your car left an agreed area, define that area in Plaspy and configure an exit alert for the GS10. When the required reports arrive and the rule is met, Plaspy can generate a notification. A geofence is a monitoring boundary on a map; it does not physically prevent the car from leaving.
To receive new reports, the GS10 must be installed, configured and powered, with a SIM that has active mobile data and compatible coverage. You also need an active Plaspy service. To view records already stored, you need access to your account and internet on your phone or browser; you can review them while the tracker is offline, but that does not mean new data has arrived.
Choose a boundary that matches the agreement
Start with the question you need to answer: did the car leave a work area, a parking location or a delivery district? Draw an area that fits that agreement. Avoid treating every small position variation near its edge as evidence of the driver's actions.
Select the device, event type and recipients, and check the alert schedule. The tracker's connection, configuration and available reports affect detection and when the notification reaches you.
What to check when an alert arrives
- Confirm the car and the area that triggered the alert.
- Read the event time and the latest report time.
- Review positions near the boundary and the available route history.
- Compare the exit with the authorized work or trip.
Illustrative example: a delivery car leaves its usual district for an approved collection. The alert identifies the exit; checking with the person responsible establishes whether it was expected. The map cannot explain the purpose of a trip on its own.
Test the rule before relying on it
Arrange a test trip across the boundary and check both the event and the notification. If no alert arrives, check the rule and communication before concluding that the car stayed inside. Gaps in reporting can leave an incomplete picture.
When the work area changes, review the boundary and schedule with the person responsible before the next trip. A rule based on an old agreement may generate accurate alerts that no longer help you decide.
