Boxtrack 4G installation: preparation and relay bench testing

Review what Plaspy's demonstration establishes: accessories, SIM, harness and cut-off/restoration bench testing before in-vehicle installation.

Illustrative cover image.

Plaspy's Boxtrack 4G installation demonstration covers tracker preparation and a relay cut-off and restoration test on a workbench. It helps identify components and observe a functional check; it does not show a complete installation inside a car.

Before connecting: identify the device and accessories

The demonstration presents a remote control, panic button, harness, relay wiring, SIM and manual. It also identifies a siren connection and explains that the siren is not included. Confirm the contents of your current purchase: items shown in a demonstration do not replace the quotation for the kit you will receive.

What is prepared inside the tracker

The demonstration opens the sliding cover, locates the SIM slot and sets the internal switch to ON. It then identifies connectors and connects the harness and panic button. Indicator activity shows that the device powered on; it does not independently confirm data reaching Plaspy.

Read the harness against the model's diagram

On the demonstrated unit, red is identified as positive, black as negative, white as ACC and yellow as the cut-off control. This describes what is shown; it does not justify applying the same colors to every tracker or vehicle. Before intervention, an installer must verify the compatible diagram, power supply, protection and circuit.

What the relay test demonstrates

The demonstration sends a request by text message, waits for the circuit response and observes the tester. It then requests restoration and checks the change. This separates sending a command from observing its effect. The closing remarks mention commands through the platform, app or web but do not develop their configuration.

What remains before installation is complete

The bench test does not show device placement in a vehicle, complete cable routing or a driving test. It also does not establish compatibility with every immobilization circuit. Remote cut-off requires suitable installation and a stationary vehicle in safe conditions; an old location does not prove that condition.

How to prepare the job with an installer

Provide the exact model and explain the required functions. Confirm accessories and services separately, and request power, communication, reporting and purchased-function tests. Check both the action and restoration before signing off the work.

Record the test with its scope

When documenting the work, distinguish observations on the bench from checks later performed in the vehicle. Retain device identity and the action/restoration results, and explicitly leave any unperformed communication or installation tests outstanding. An illuminated LED does not close all those checks.

To prepare your installation, contact Plaspy with the model and work you need . Confirm the wiring diagram, accessories, data service and installation labor separately.
