Your customers can pay you in two ways: by hand, with the payment methods your team picks when it registers a payment (cash, transfer, deposit), or online from the payment link, with your own payment gateways: Bold, ePayco or PayPal. Both are set up in My customers > Settings .
Manual payment methods
They are in the Payment methods tab, with the columns Name, Active, Requires support and Payments (how many non-voided payments were registered with it).
Add a method
- Click the round button (Add a payment method).
- Type the Name, for example Cash. It is what is chosen when registering a payment.
- Check or uncheck the options:
- Active: only active methods are offered when registering payments.
- The payment waits for confirmation: a payment with this method does not renew the subscription until someone who can edit payments confirms it. Use it for means you take time to see in your account.
- The payment requires its support: whoever registers the payment must attach the receipt or the transfer voucher.
- Click OK. Payment method saved shows.
At least one method must stay active; if you try to deactivate or delete the last one you will see Please enable at least one payment method. Two methods cannot have the same name. When you delete a method, the payments already registered with it keep its name. Manual methods do not show on your customers' payment page.
Payment gateways
In the Payment gateways tab you connect your Bold, ePayco or PayPal accounts. Your customers pay straight into those accounts: Plaspy does not handle the money, it only sends the payment link and registers each payment.
General settings
- Default currency: the currency new plans and subscriptions start with. Each subscription keeps its own.
- Payment notification email: receives a copy of the payment email each customer gets. If you leave it empty, it goes to your account email.
- Conversion markup (%): shows when an active gateway does not charge in your currency. That gateway charges in dollars with the exchange rate of the day plus this markup, from 0 to 100.
Connect a gateway
- Check Active on the gateway. Its fields open.
- Copy into Plaspy the keys the gateway gives you (see the list below).
- Copy the Webhook URL or the Confirmation URL Plaspy shows and register it in the gateway dashboard. This way Plaspy receives the confirmation of each payment and the refunds.
- Click Save. Settings saved shows.
- Bold: Identity key (API key) and Secret key, found in Bold > Integrations. The Webhook URL is registered in Bold. It charges in COP and USD.
- ePayco: Public key, Private key, P_CUST_ID_CLIENTE and P_KEY, found in ePayco > Integrations. Test mode uses the ePayco test environment. The Confirmation URL is registered in ePayco. It charges in COP and USD.
- PayPal: Client ID and Secret of your REST app in the PayPal developer dashboard. Webhook ID is the id PayPal gives the webhook you create with the Webhook URL. Sandbox uses the test environment. It charges in USD, EUR, MXN, CAD, GBP and other currencies; it does not charge in COP.
Secret keys are not shown again after you save them: they appear as dots. Leave the field empty to keep the saved one, or type a new one to replace it. With PayPal, without the Webhook ID the payments PayPal leaves pending and the refunds do not reach Plaspy.
Next to each gateway name you see the currency it would charge in with your default currency. In test mode or Sandbox, payments do not move money.

When a gateway does not show on the payment page
- It is not checked as Active or it lacks keys.
- It does not charge in the subscription's currency and there is no exchange rate to convert it.
- The amount to pay is zero.
Requirements
- Seeing these settings requires the View privilege on Settings; changing them, Update; deleting payment methods, Delete.
- Your own account with the gateway you want to use.
Messages you may see
- Please enter the Bold identity key. and similar messages: the gateway is active and that information is missing.
- Please enter a conversion markup between 0 and 100.
- There is already a payment method with this name.
